JULY CHALLENGE - OC MADNESS

WELL HELLO THERE AWESOME DEVIANTS!!! 

I know, I know - *Bout time*  *Where you been* *It's the 23rd already! are you kidding me!?* NOPE! Muahahaha I'm evil enough to quickly get a challenge out so we can get back on track. AND so we complete the 12 month challenge.

And to sincerely apologise, every artist that submits to this month's challenge will get a spot in the challenge feature, but ***also**** a personal art feature each where I'll nose in your galleries and share your awesome pieces with the world!!!!!  I'm also chucking some extra points in the kitty this month!

And just because there's only a week left of July doesn't mean it has to be finished then.

REMEMBER THERE ARE NO DEADLINES. Take as long as you need!

                              ONTO SWEET JULY:

For those of you who have been following from the start know how much we champion original characters. For others who are new to joining, we encourage creating original characters as you get to delve into your imagination and push your skills to the absolute test.

They are a blessing and a curse - a blessing because they are, essentially, your babies, your creations. When you make a character there are no limitations.
And, a curse because half the time we forget we have them and don't have time to really sit and draw them. 

SO FOR THIS MONTH YOUR CHALLENGE IS:

Create a piece of art using a new or old original character. NOTE: IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE HUMAN

What you can work on through this:

 Anatomy (This is something many people have said they want to work on!)

  Poses and portraying emotion

  Personality 

 Landscape / surrounding setting 


Xtra Challenges:

   Put more than one OC in a piece - 50 points for 2, +10 points for each additional character (I.E. 4 characters = 70 points)

   LETS GET FUNKY: Choose a present, each present will contain five words, and create an OC based on them. You are permitted one swap. - 100 points

 GIFT WRAPPED: Choose a present, each present will contain a simple sentence depicting a scene or location where you will place your OC. If you really don't like what you receive then you are permitted one swap. - 200 points

 SIGN, SEALED AND DELIVERED: Choose a present, each present will contain an event your character went through growing up. You will create a character based on the mini story. Again, you are permitted one swap. - 200 points

(If you want to choose a present comment the title of the extra C and number: i.e. 'Sign, sealed and delivered, number 3'. You can choose any present - even if you see someone ask for the same number, they are for anyone to choose!)


OK my lovelies!!! I'm hoping this isn't a complicated journal, but if you do struggle to understand just ask me and I'll sort it out!! I get that this might seem like a big task, but there is absolutely no deadline, it's for fun, learning and practise. So take as much time as needed!
