From the Ashes - Contest Entry!

My song: Fall Out Boy - The Phoenix

Ok, so I'mma break it down!
I absolutely adore the lyrics to the Phoenix - rather than using one character, a plot line came to mind. The characters are reintroduced to each other by my (new OC thanks to this contest!) Nixie, a transforming Phoenix who has caught wind of the, publicly recognised, biscuit inventor 'Dodger' being a mass murdering scientist, and knows of the legends of Katx character crew and gets them together. During the debriefing the characters are sceptical of being thrown together for an adventure after a previous betrayal by a team member. But Crimson, the Vampire Dog, has highly defined senses - (Image top left and right) here he has detected smell and sound triggers, from this his mind has then created a fragmented image of the trauma. The image depicts girls who have been kept in a lab for science experiments to turn them into highly tuned weapons, as they have a power in common (balls of control - still thinking of a decent name for this) by gradually decreasing their emotional touch with the world they can wield their power balls without mercy and under command. The girls have created a fire as a distraction to escape, they have then called for help - the chemicals of the area affect their powers. Crimson is only able to piece together fragments when he is able to recognise or has past experience of the smell and sound being detected - here it's the girls cry, and smoke. - He is then able to tune into which area is alight, and confirms to the team that the lab is under the influence of Dodger.
   The second image is Dodger and his crew, he has a large control over police forces and armed force bots. This image is the enemy they have to fight - the oppressors.
  In the third Sceptre has rescued one of the girls, she has used her deer form because the chemicals of the air affect those winged animals. The clock reflects time running out to get the girls safe to a meeting point and to outrun Dodger and the team until she is able to face them fully armed.
  The last image: The Crew
Ok so: Jazz, Syx, Ximena, Lashtail, and on the chimney is Houdini - having cheekily stolen a police helmet. Driving the Coppernix is Ni'Koolas. All armed, alongside them are some of the girls in battle mode. 
  SO! The Coppernix - well I didn't want to be too plain and have a helicopter manned by the intelligent Ni'Koolas, and name it Phoenix. The Coppernix (temporarily named till I can draw it up better) is where the phoenix has been able to evolve with the times to ensure a continued survival and to blend within a crowd if needed. They can morph into modes of transport which allows them to help transport people. The skulls reflect the number of times the phoenix is reborn, the wings and bones have more obvious meaning. But there is no technological aid, Ni'Koolas is having to direct the Coppernix to the landing (the transforming affects the phoenix' sense of direction and sight). 'This links a bit to 'i'm gonna change you like a remix, then I'll raise you like a Phoenix' He also uses a form of plant from his own planet as walkie talkie with the team, where all strings have been torn from the same plant, they take in the vibrations of voice and then send it to the other parts of the plant on other team members, then translated into a voice message.

Song links: 'Put on your war paint' 'Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground' 'Here, here comes this rising tide so come on, put on your war paint.' - I could link quite a bit of the song's lyrics in a literal sense - time running out, the power of fire to give strength, breath new life, but also its ability to be used as a weapon, to destroy. A song where those that are captured, who are oppressed, who struggle are forced down - learn how to fight, encouraged to be their self, to own their strength - 'time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start, so dance along to the beat of your heart.' And one of my favourite lines, and what inspires the Dodger factor is 'We will take the world back from the heart attacked, one maniac at a time we will take it back.' This interp in my picture is more obvious. And lastly the last image reflects this: 'The war is won, before its begun release the doves, surrender love.'

WELL AFTER THAT LENGTHY DESCRIPTO: The story is pretty clear in my head xD I kinda saw it as an animated rescue mission along with the song beat - like each character facing their challenges to recuse the girls, and their fights (don't have such amazing skills here - but would have loved to have done that!), then wanted to write it down (didn't get time) xD so SO hopefully, this image and descript is clear enough. Sorry for the lighting being really sucky D: (I can't do it outside during the day tomorow xD). Awesome, awesome contest! Thanks for the chance to enter.
